R.I.P. Guru
This morning we received confirmation that legendary emcee and producer Keith "
Guru" Elam passed away (April 19, 2010) in a New York City hospital. Just over six weeks since the former
Gang Starr front-man was publicly reported to have suffered a cardiac arrest and been hospitalized, he died due to complications from undisclosed cancer after having been diagnosed with Anoxia.
Sorely missed, but never forgotten.

Rifoki – Zombie Attack
Steve Aoki (Prominent DJ and Dim Mak founder) and Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo (Bloody Beetroots) have joined forces for a new musical project called Rifoki. It’s their take on hardcore, created as tribute to their musical background in hardcore music, long before they became renowned producers.

“NY-Z” – An ABSOLUT Collaboration with Jay-Z
Jay-Z has collabed with Absolut Vodka and director Danny Clinch to put out this 15 minute mini documentary called “NY-Z” about the Jigga Man himself. The film follows Jay around before and after his huge September 11th benefit concert at Madison Square Garden and gives you an inside look on his life, his music, and his home town of New York.
WK Interact For Jordan Brand – Never Sleeps Video
Jordan Brand recently commissioned artist WK Interact to create a new piece for their “Nightmares Never Sleep” campaign. The mural is located in NYC’s Lower East Side and features a larger than life Dwayne Wade.
